While in the hospital recovering from a stroke and waiting for heart surgery, *Dr. Lou visited often, was caring and in touch with or other doctors.
I had several questions I wanted to rule out might be a heart problem but I felt the only way I was going to get any answers was after I went through all the many expensive tests-----------I do not believe I have blood clot in my lungs - my shortness of breath is decades long but only got bad taking a medication-yet a xray was ordered---I did not feel he would "hear" me if I said I was not interested in one since I had too many as a military bratt and was saving xrays for necessities. I had questions regarding a gene and mother and grandmothers blood clots- was told he was ordering certain tests but I did not see them. He seemed very detailed in his mannerism but I really did not feel a very human connection, I need a dr that stops long enough to look at me and talk to me because I have been sick a very long time with CFIDS. I felt his exam was exceptional and had I walked away feeling I had a heart problem maybe I would chose him but for my concerns I need a dr who has time for me. I understand this appointment was delayed over an hour because he was doing surgery so maybe he was feeling alittle rushed but was thorough. I do think he has good skills on the operating table. I need to know why I have air hunger, and shortness of breath that is decades long but I need a communicative doctor who is willing to explore with me my health concerns.
Always good for 9+ year.
1-10. All 53
I live alone I forget to ask for clarification re what I will/won't be able to do after procedure - it's possible he didn't mention because there will be minimal impact on my activities - but last time I didn't ask re what I thought was a simple local procedure I was impacted for weeks.
