This was my 94 y.o. mother's first visit. *Dr. Manasson was very thorough and referred us to get an x-ray for an injury she had to her wrist after a fall. Also had referral for home health. Referral for orthopedist as well. She was patient with my mother and addressed all my concerns. We received new medication orders. Labs had already been done at Scripps a month earlier in preparation for my mothers move to assisted living. Many of questions above did not really apply since it was our first visit. The office followed up with me about referrals and some issues my mother developed since that appointment.
*Dr. Manasson is very "matter-of-fact" - there is a degree of a communication barrier just due to her personality.
After arriving 20 min. prior to my appointment I had to wait an additional 1 hour & 45 minutes to see the doctor. When trying to tell her some of my issues, she informed me that this is a annual check up & if she had listen to my problems & diagnosis if she would have to charge me extra. She also did not like the fact I do not take any drugs.
The doctor is non approachable - difficult to understand and seemed rude and had NO BEDSIDE MANNER.
She's a matter of fact doctor, very insensitive with what she says good or bad.
